1. How far should I book in advance?
Our tours are constantly busy, so bookings are essential! We recommend that you make your reservation at least one week before the tour. In saying that, we do however take bookings right up until tour departure time, but only if availability permits.
2. What time do the tours depart?
The tour departs twice a day from our inner city pick up points and St Kilda pick up points at approx 10am for the morning tour and 1pm for the afternoon tour. Your closest pick up location and time will be determined when making your reservation either by phone or by our online booking system (Step 3). In peak season we also run additional tours.
3. What time do we get back to the city?
The morning tour to Ramsay Street returns to the city at approximately 1:00pm and the afternoon at approximately 4:00pm. The tour’s duration is approximately three hours.
4. Can I meet the bus at Ramsay Street?
All patrons booked onto a tour must depart from our main pick-up location at the Neighbours Centre. Due to the nature of the tour and variances in tour itineraries (determined by filming schedules, star meetings etc) we can not offer a pick-up from Ramsay Street. On the day of your tour, your tour guide will be happy to drop you off at a reasonable location; this however can not be guaranteed so please enquire before-hand.
5. Is Ramsay Street real? Can we go into the houses?
Ramsay Street is a real street where ordinary people live! There is no entry into any of the houses! When entering Ramsay Street, you need to remember to respect the privacy of the residents and not to venture further than the beginning of their driveways!
6. What happens when they are filming? When do you find out when they are filming?
Filming in Ramsay Street means that you may be lucky to see some filming! When filming takes place Ramsay Street is closed and no public access is permitted. As the street is a small cul de sac photo opportunities of the street and the houses are permitted from a distance only!
Filming schedules of Ramsay Street are known one week in advance. There are times when unscheduled filming may arise; should this happen we will try our very best to notify you prior to tour departure!
7. Are the studios open to the public?
Our weekend tours (Official Neighbours Back-lot Tour) to Ramsay St & Global Television allow fans to view the exterior filming locations from the TV show. It is inside Global Television (studios) where they film the inside sets which has no public access.
8. Does more than one Neighbours actor meet the buses?
There is only one Neighbours actor (past or present) who will meet you on tour!
9. Can I choose which Neighbours actor I want to meet?
Due to filming schedules we can not guarantee who you will be able to meet on the tour and therefore it is a surprise!
